100g softened butter 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup mashed feijoas 1 egg 2 Tbsp milk 1 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup chopped dates (optional)
Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees celsius. Beat together butter and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in egg. Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda. Fold into creamed mixture. Stir in feijoas, dates (optional), and milk. Divide the mixture between 20 x 1/2 cup capacity muffin tins lined with paper cases. Bake for 25 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer. Remove carefully from the oven and carefully move them onto a wire rack to cool completely.
