Spanish Slow Cooked Beef

  • 500g of stewing beef
  • 1-2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 packet of chorizo sausage
  • 2 onions
  • 2 capsicums
  • 1 tub of tomato paste
  • 2 cans of tinned tomatoes
  • 2 cans of mixed beans
  • 3 tsp of paprika
  • 1 tsp of cumin
  • 1 tsp of crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp of crushed chilli
  • 1 tsp salt


  1. Fry meat in a little oil in a fry pan for 30 sec all sides, to brown off, set aside.
  2. Fry onions until browned in 1 tbsp of olive oil with all spices, garlic and chilli
  3. Add diced capsicum and tomato paste, stir through
  4. Add everything into a heavy-bottomed casserole dish, along with tinned tomatoes and bring to the boil in a stovetop element.
  5. Transfer to the oven and cook covered at 170c for 2 hours, until meat is tender.
  6. Just before serving, rinse beans warm in a pot. Serve like below and enjoy.
