Fried Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients


A handful of Brussel Sprouts
Butter or olive oil
Lemon juice
1 cup of boiling hot vegetable or chicken stock

Method


1. Cut off sprout ends, remove outer leaves and dice in half.
2. Heat 1 cm of oil in a heavy bottom fry pan and add Brussels cut side down
3. Fry sprouts for 2-3 mins until brown
4. Toss sprouts and add stock, cover and simmer for a further 3-4 minutes
5. Done. Serve with fresh lemon juice squeezed over top.
