How Does Home Delivery Work?
We can deliver anywhere within our Auckland delivery area five days a week: Just pick your chosen delivery day and schedule your order by midnight the night before! There are a few suburbs on the edges of Auckland that we can only make deliveries on one selected day of the week, but all available delivery days for your address will appear in your account.
The most important thing to know is that delivery in Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga is a flat rate of $6.50. For these areas, we will deliver to you between 3:00-6:30pm. This keeps your produce and meat as fresh as possible and out of the heat of the day, and allows us time to source and pack your fresh produce in the morning. You don't need to be home when we deliver, we can leave your Foodbox in a designated area, just let us know by including delivery instructions on your account.
On Public Holidays (Which most frequently occur on a Monday), your delivery will be pushed back one day. If you usually get your box on a Monday, it will come on a Tuesday, etc. It will come at the same time it usually comes, and you'll still be able to edit the contents of your box up until midnight on the night before delivery.
What about this Chiller Box?
We also have a cool chiller pack to keep your chilled goods which gives you great peace of mind to know your groceries are looked after and chilled until you get home. Please note: *we charge a $6 deposit for the chiller pack which is refunded with your next delivery, if you leave it out for us to collect.
Can I Recycle my Box?
Just leave your box out and we will pick it up with your next delivery. You might just see your box again!
We do our utmost to make sure we get each delivery to you at roughly the same time each week as well. So, if you're used to coming home at 4.30pm and finding your groceries waiting on the doorstep we'll try and always be there between 4.15pm and 4.45pm.
For customers outside our delivery areas
At the moment, we are unable to control the freshness and quality of deliveries sent to the South Island with any degree of consistency, so we are unable to deliver to those areas.
We can courier your delivery to you within New Zealand on the North Island using Courier Post. Additional freight costs and times of delivery will vary depending on your area. You will see the cost of freight in your order summary on your 'My Foodbox' page and below is a general guide for delivery times.
We aim to deliver the freshest produce possible, so all meat will be packed on ice and sent in a chiller pack. Also, particular items are unsuitable for courier delivery such as bread and milk, which will be made unavailable to order. Please note: You wont be able to receive a refund for your chiller pack because unfortunately at the moment the packs can't be returned.
